Spiritual Support
A faith-based culture to nourish your soul
Spiritual and emotional support can have a profound impact when you and your family are confronting life’s most challenging times. The AIS Cancer Center has board-certified clinical chaplains available to meet your spiritual, religious and emotional needs. Our chaplains do not represent any specific faith; they will help you spiritually and emotionally whatever your personal religion or beliefs.
Our chaplains are available to:
- Listen and help you process recent diagnosis news
- Help you find meaning and purpose in moments of crisis
- Assist you in seeking inner peace and strength
- Help answer your spiritual questions
- Help meet your specific faith or spiritual needs
- Bring you a Bible, sacred texts, or holy writings from specific faith traditions
- Assist you in contacting religious leaders from your faith tradition
- Pray with you, at your request
At the AIS Cancer Center, prayer is an important part of our culture, and you will often see physicians, nurses and other staff members praying with patients and their families. If you’d like someone to pray with you or for you, just ask; we are always ready to support your need.
If you'd like to participate in a structured service, we offer a weekly formal prayer service in our lobby. Anyone, of any faith, is welcome to attend.
