Community Medical Centers and Adventist Health Lodi Memorial Partner to Improve and Transform Health in Lodi
LODI, Calif. [DATE]—Community Medical Centers (CMC) and Adventist Health Lodi Memorial are pleased to announce a continuing partnership to serve the greater Lodi community. As partners, the two organizations pledge to work together to better meet the needs of vulnerable populations in the Lodi area.
“This partnership helps Adventist Health Lodi Memorial and Community Medical Centers apply our combined strengths and experiences to address complex local health issues,” said Adventist Health Lodi Memorial President Daniel Wolcott. “We are both committed to the community and are excited to be working more closely together.”
The community is already benefiting from the partnership as CMC patients are now able to access specialty care at their primary care sites. Specialty care physicians from Adventist Health Lodi Memorial will hold office hours at CMC locations, making it possible for patients to receive specialty care such as cardiology, gastroenterology and endocrinology in a familiar location.
“When we refer a patient for specialty care, there is a chance that they will not keep the appointment due to transportation issues, finances, or lack of familiarity with the provider. Having the specialists come to them makes all the difference,” said CMC Chief Executive Officer Christine Noguera. “This is a momentous occasion as we move forward in our vision of improved comprehensive care for our patients.”
Adventist Health Lodi Memorial and CMC are also collaborating on homelessness in the community. Each organization currently provides treatment to homeless individuals within their systems. Pooling resources improves the chance that these individuals will receive the care that they need at the appropriate location, whether they require emergency intervention, primary medical care, mental health counseling or treatment for substance use disorders.

About Community Medical Centers. Fifty years ago, volunteers from the San Joaquin County Medical Society saw a need to provide healthcare to underserved members of the community. Forty years ago, that volunteer effort became a nonprofit, operating out of a mobile trailer. Today, Community Medical Centers is a network of 19 neighborhood health centers serving over 85,000 patients in San Joaquin, Solano and Yolo Counties. Every day, Community Medical Centers provides vital care to men, women and children, regardless of ability to pay. For more information about Community Medical Centers, please visit cmcenters.org.
