Two physical therapists join the Physical Therapy Centers at Adventist Health Clear Lake
Experienced physical therapists Amanda Nikeil, PT, DPT, and Mike Nikiel, PT, DPT, have joined Adventist Health Clear Lake Physical Therapy Centers. The therapists see patients for orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, complex and neurological rehabilitation, and health and fitness programs.
Amanda Nikiel earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Daemen College in 2015. First inspired by high school anatomy, she continues to advance her certification in the McKenzie Method of mechanical diagnosis and therapy. She enjoys working with all patients but especially likes to help patients with overuse injuries, including sprains, strains, and tendinopathies.
“Mechanical Diagnosis and therapy guide me to form a comprehensive individualized home program,” she says. “I want every patient to reach their individual function goal. “
Mike Nikiel received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Daemen College in 2015. He became interested in physical therapy after experiencing several sports injuries that required physical therapy. After receiving treatment, he decided to pursue the profession. He enjoys working in the outpatient orthopedic setting, helping people with shoulder and ankle issues, and everything in between.
“Since no two patients are alike,” he says, “I enjoy the puzzle of working with them to discover their present limitations. Then together, we develop personalized goals so I can assist them in returning to their previous level of function in their everyday lives with an individualized home exercise plan.”
