Adventist Health Hanford certified nursing assistant earns a Rose Award

Jazmin Padilla, a certified nursing assistant at Adventist Health Hanford, was honored with a Rose Award. Rose is an acronym for “Recognition of Service Excellence” and is the name of an award program established by the Mary Lanning Nursing Champions’ Council to celebrate extraordinary efforts and compassion of associates.

The Rose Award is bestowed upon extraordinary certified nursing assistants twice a year at Adventist Health in the Central Valley.

Padilla, who works in the Medical-Surgical department, was nominated by her peers and recognized by the hospital’s Unit Based Council (UBC).

“This award was given to Jazmin because she stands out and goes above and beyond in providing excellent care to her patients,” says Lety Sotelo, clinical lead and co-chair of the UBC. “Jazmin started working at Adventist Health last July. She says the best part about her job is making her patients smile.”

Padilla recently earned an Associates of Arts in Health Science from West Hills College in Lemoore and has applied for the nursing program to become a registered nurse.
