Adventist Health Sonora welcomes physician assistant Cassie Blackwell

Adventist Health Sonora is pleased to announce the addition of physician assistant Cassie Blackwell, PA, to its team. Blackwell specializes in psychiatry and cares for patients with depression, anxiety, chronic pain and more.

“While I was working in primary care, I noticed there was a tremendous need for mental health care. It overlapped with most every other problem I was working with people on,” she says. “I felt drawn to focus on this area to support people in improving their overall wellbeing.”

“I believe health to be interconnected to mind, body and spirit,” Blackwell says. “My approach is to help educate and guide people to make choices that support all three.”

Blackwell completed her physician assistant training from the Stanford University School of Medicine and is a member of the California Academy of Physician Assistants.

When not caring for patients, she enjoys kayaking and hiking.
