Adventist Health wins prestigious Brandon Hall Group Award
The highly coveted Brandon Hall Group Bronze award for excellence in the Competency and Skill Development category was awarded to Adventist Health. The Brandon Hall Group recognizes organizations across the globe that have successfully deployed programs, modalities, processes and tools that have achieved measurable results, and Adventist Health is pleased to be included among admired winning organizations.
Brandon Hall Group is a global Human Capital Management research and advisory services firm that provides insights on key performance areas, including learning and development, talent management, leadership development, talent acquisition and HR/workforce management.
”It is an honor to receive the sought-after Brandon Hall Group Bronze award,” said Joyce Newmyer, Adventist Health's chief culture officer. “By focusing on core leadership competencies that bring to life our mission of living God’s love, we can develop and nurture innovative and strategic leaders who lead with empathy, understanding and compassion.”
Adventist Health’s winning entry focused on Leading with Love, an executive development learning series. The Leading with Love program teaches practical strategies that enable leaders to be more aware of their own emotions and express themselves in ways that strengthen relationships and promote team engagement. Participating in a full spectrum of professional development exercises, leaders learn to successfully approach courageous conversations, create conditions for accountability, develop collaborative relationships and personalize change.
“We are blessed to be a part of an organization that prioritizes investment in emotionally intelligent leadership practices,” says Lisa Nunes, executive for Learning and Organizational Development. “It is an honor to be recognized for the success of Leading with Love, a program developed to strengthen leadership capabilities in how we show our love and care for each other in service of our mission.”
Leading with Love’s executive learning experience was designed and delivered in partnership with Advisory Board Talent Development, a health care research firm that partners with hundreds of health care systems to advance executive and managerial development. “The future of health care requires mission-centered leaders who navigate ambiguity with compassion and curiosity,” said Craig Pirner, Advisory Board managing director. “We are honored to be Adventist Health’s leadership development partner and congratulate Adventist Health on winning this well-deserved Brandon Hall Group Bronze award.” Pirner also lauded the commitment of Adventist Health’s executive team to leadership development.
