Family medicine physician Shruti Javali, MD, joins Adventist Health Medical Office - Fowler

FOWLER – Adventist Health Medical Office – Fowler is pleased to welcome to its medical staff family medicine physician Shruti Javali, MD. Javali sees patients of all ages with a specific focus on obstetrics and women’s health. In addition to treating each patient’s medical condition, her approach incorporates whole-person care, considering factors such as nutrition, exercise and work/life balance.

“Being part of my patient’s life from the moment they are born to when they have their child or grandchild and everything in between – that’s the privilege of being a family physician,” she said.

Javali earned her medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine in the Dutch Caribbean and undergraduate degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. She completed her family medicine residency through Michigan State University at Mercy Health Grand Rapids in Michigan.

An advocate of community outreach, she looks forward to making her office part of the heart of the Fowler community through participation in health fairs, group visits, food drives and more. Javali’s passion for helping others has taken her and her husband, Adnaan Edun, MD, on medical trips to Guatemala and Kenya, and they also work closely with underserved refugee and migrant populations.

Prior to her studies and career in medicine, Javali was an Indian classical dancer, choreographer and teacher.

“My path to healthcare and medicine was slightly nonlinear, but by the time I discovered my interest and affinity for it, I knew I wanted to be a physician who serves the entirety of my patient,” she said.

Today, as Javali works toward getting back into classical dance, she has taken to exploring outdoor activities, including kayaking, rock climbing and hiking.
