20,000+ vaccine doses administered through our efforts

Adventist Health St. Helena and St. Helena Hospital Foundation are proud to serve the community.

On Friday, March 19, Adventist Health St. Helena and St. Helena Hospital Foundation celebrate a milestone in administering more than 20,000 doses of Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine from one of two clinics: at the hospital and our Adventist Health/St. Helena Hospital Foundation community vaccination site at the Napa Valley College campus in St. Helena.

We have vaccinated those age 65 and older, healthcare workers, educators, members of our agricultural community, restaurant workers and those with pre-existing medical conditions. Both vaccine clinics operate with a large team of volunteers, from within Adventist Health and from the community. The community vaccination site relies heavily on volunteer physicians, nurses and other medical and non-medical volunteers. Through the volunteers’ tireless work, we continue to help Napa County distribute vaccine rapidly to those most vulnerable.

Napa County is currently in the red tier and this loosening of restrictions was made in part through the combined efforts of Adventist Health and the St. Helena Hospital Foundation, our counterparts at Napa County Public Health and generous supporters of the St. Helena Hospital Foundation, who fund the community vaccination site in St. Helena.

“As we look out at the valley, mustard is in bloom, bright green pops amidst fire-scarred hillsides and I am reminded of the resiliency of our community,” says Dr. Steven Herber, Adventist Health St. Helena president. “We are proud to play a part in vaccinating the community. The more we can support our community’s health, the sooner we can start to open the doors to our homes, schools, businesses and places of worship. We look forward to personally engaging and connecting again.”
