Adventist Health proud to partner with KCDPH in providing COVID-19 vaccinations
Adventist Health in the Central Valley is proud to partner with local organizations, including the Kings County Department of Public Health, to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine to as many eligible community members as possible.
Vaccines are distributed based on the state’s tier guidelines, which may be viewed at this link: https://bit.ly/2MGN9VM. Currently, our combined efforts are focused on vaccinating vulnerable, high-risk community members, which include those 65 or older, healthcare workers, law enforcement personnel, educators and members of the Food & Agriculture industries.
“So far, our Adventist Health teams have administered over 7,000 vaccines to more than 4,500 people in Kings County,” says Andrea Kofl, president of Adventist Health in the Central Valley. “The vaccine is safe and is our best shot at healing our communities and bringing an end to the pandemic.”
Upcoming community vaccination events, hosted by Adventist Health, will be based on supply and posted on Adventist Health Facebook pages and website at www.AdventistHealth.org/central-valley.
“Partnerships such as this are essential to bringing the pandemic to an end,” says Heather Silva, assistant director of the Kings County Department of Public Health. “Working with our local hospital and other providers in Kings County will increase vaccine availability for our community.”
The Kings County Department of Public Health is utilizing several online tools, including the state’s vaccine platform MyTurn, to inform eligible residents of appointment availability. To learn more about the platform and other important COVID-19 information, visit the county’s website at www.kingscovidinfo.com.
