Moment of silence and light tribute to honor COVID-19 victims on one-year anniversary

News

CENTRAL VALLEY – Adventist Health in the Central Valley will hold a moment of silence and light tribute at all four of its hospitals on Friday, March 19, to commemorate the one-year anniversary of COVID-19.

The faith-based organization is observing March 19, 2021, as the one-year anniversary, since it coincides with the California lockdown on that date in 2020.

The moment of silence and prayer will be shared via overhead announcements at its hospitals in Hanford, Selma, Reedley and Tulare, and the hospital exteriors will be illuminated in blue, beginning at 8 p.m.

“We want to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives to COVID-19 in a safe and beautiful way,” says Andrea Kofl, president of Adventist Health in the Central Valley. “Our hearts and prayers are with those who have lost family and friends, since the beginning of this pandemic, and our hopes are for a healthier future.”
