New family nurse practitioner proud to serve Caruthers community
CARUTHERS – Adventist Health Medical Office – Caruthers is pleased to welcome board-certified family nurse practitioner Shawn Chatha, MSN, FNP-C, to its team.
From pediatric to senior patients, Chatha provides comprehensive primary medical care plus treatment and patient education for those with acute and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and thyroid dysfunction.
“Helping patients achieve overall health and fulfillment is my main goal,” he said. “Seeing their illnesses improve is the most gratifying aspect of what I do. I love helping others and living God’s love.”
Chatha earned his master’s degree in nursing as part of the family nurse practitioner program at Fresno Pacific University, graduating summa cum laude, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from California State University, Fresno, also graduating summa cum laude. He is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and California Association for Nurse Practitioners.
“Helping in the community has been a big part of my life, since high school,” he said. “Nursing has opened the door and allowed me to help the community in ways that go beyond a hospital setting.”
Chatha volunteers at the YMCA, participates in the People’s Church Sporting program in Fresno and volunteers extensively at the Sikh Center Temple in Selma. Other interests include spending time with family, fitness, sports and outdoor activities.
To make an appointment with Chatha, patients may contact Adventist Health Medical Office – Caruthers, 2357 W. Tahoe, with a phone number of 559-864-5200.
