Outstanding Partnership Formed Between Adventist Health Castle and Central Medical Clinic

An outstanding partnership has been formed between Adventist Health Castle and Central Medical Clinic bringing together two organizations recognized as top providers of quality of care and excellent patient outcomes. Both organizations have a shared mission of offering quality comprehensive medical care to meet the community’s need.

Many of the excellent Central Medical Clinics physicians will stay and be joined by several new physicians. This one-of-a-kind partnership will elevate the care provided to Central Medical Clinic patients by connecting them to the excellent services and specialty care provided by Adventist Health Castle.

Central Medical Clinic is one of the best primary care clinics in Honolulu, with consistently high rankings in quality care and patient satisfaction. Similarly, Adventist Health Castle is a nationally recognized organization for its results in patient safety and experience. They are an organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the patients and communities it serves. With its rich history of serving O`ahu’s healthcare needs for 60 years, it is committed to continuing the legacy of CMC.

Central Medical Clinic (CMC) was established in 1949 as to care for a large population of Hawaii residents—many of them Japanese Americans— who worked for sugar plantations and received medical care in those closed systems. Similarly, Adventist Health Castle was established 14 years later in 1963 to care for the growing Windward O`ahu community and save valuable time over the old Pali Road.

The transaction is expected to close on September 1, 2022.
