Adventist Health Tillamook Recognizes Honorees for Nursing and Associate Awards
Adventist Health Tillamook announces honorees for their annual nursing DAISY Award® and annual associate of the year award, an important part of yearly recognition events the Tillamook-area hospital and medical offices participate in annually. Nominated by their peers and selected by a blind committee, these awards recognize Adventist Health Tillamook employees for truly outstanding work and exceptional care that goes so far above and beyond leadership expectations that they should not only be recognized but honored in an annual achievement.
Starting with the DAISY Foundation™ Award honoree, Diana Pisciotta, RN, was chosen from 20 nurse nominations, each with their own compelling stories of exceptional and inspirational care. Diana has been with Adventist Health Tillamook for almost four years, rising to the needs of her patients and developing new protocols for patient care during the COVID epidemic. Patients often comment that she is very informative, explaining to them and their families so clearly that many family members have said they would not be in the positive place they are today without Diana and her diligent work.
The Adventist Health Tillamook Associate of the Year award honors an employee who personifies the values and mission of Adventist Health through “Living God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope.” This year’s honoree is Shawn Scott, a respiratory care practitioner. Shawn’s manager Ben Mullin, director of cardiopulmonary services, states, “Shawn is a gifted caregiver, focusing on the emotional needs of our patients as well as their physical needs. I observed him coaching our sickest patients as they progressed through their disease process and helping them to maintain a positive outlook despite their fear. Our patients and our organization are better for having Shawn Scott here.”
