Adventist Health selects Joyce Newmyer as Chief People Officer

As Adventist Health continues to change and grow in ways that best serve our communities, we are thrilled to announce the selection of Joyce Newmyer as chief people officer. In this role, Newmyer will oversee all human performance functions across the organization’s over 400 sites of care, including talent acquisition, operations, leave management, employee relations, and resident and intern programs.

With nearly 40 years of experience in healthcare leadership, Newmyer’s passion for achieving higher levels of service and support for associates will allow them to feel valued, engaged, and empowered to bring their whole selves to work.

Newmyer’s proven record of leading with effectiveness and a vision for inclusivity spans her work at healthcare organizations across the country. With Adventist Health, she has previously served as chief culture officer, president of Adventist Health Portland, and most recently, president of the Pacific Northwest Network.
