Family Medicine Physician Dr. Ruth Lopez Joins Adventist Health Medical Offices in Hanford and Riverdale.

Adventist Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Ruth Lopez as a physician at their Riverdale location. She is highly skilled in family medicine and fluent in the areas of primary care, complex care, various procedure-skills, women’s health, and inpatient care.

Lopez is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. When asked about her goals in practicing medicine she says, “I am an empathetic Latina physician providing care to underserved communities. I aim to break health care disparities and am inspired by The Great Physician, Jesus Christ, in changing lives in a comprehensive way to create healthier families and a healthier society.”

She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at The Universidad Xochicalco located in Baja California and completed her family medicine residency at Adventist Health Hanford Family Medicine Residency this past June. She is thrilled to join the Adventist Health team as a full-time physician.

When not at work, music is Lopez’s passion and plays a big part in her daily life. She enjoys listening to, singing, and creating music. She also loves to cook and develop plant-based recipes.
