A message from our CEO (5/8/20)
Dear friends and neighbors,
I have been in healthcare now for more than 30 years and have always been proud of Adventist Health and our people, but I have never been more proud than I am today to be in healthcare and part of the Adventist Health family.
I am inspired by our heroes — the physicians, nurses, technicians and support teams — who have been working tirelessly on the front lines to protect our patients. I am especially grateful for the support of our communities, businesses and citizens alike who have helped us to take steps to flatten the curve. We can all be proud that collectively, we’ve made a difference and ultimately saved lives.
New virtual services
I am especially humbled by how quickly our team has mobilized to bring new virtual care options to our communities so they can access the services they need from the comfort of their home. Some of these new services include:
- Virtual visits allow our physicians to visit with patients using video and audio using a phone, computer or tablet. It’s a great way to access the care you need, especially routine visits. Patients love the peace of mind they get by not having to go into a clinic. Learn more.
- Adventist Health OnDemand is a great alternative for those who don’t have a doctor. Now they can access an internal medicine doctor or pediatrician day or night using video and audio via their phone, tablet or computer. It’s a flat fee and perfect for those unexpected urgent care needs. Learn more.
- Adventist Health Hospital@Home is a new service that brings hospital-level care delivered in the comfort of a patient’s home and their own bed. Learn more.
Protecting our communities
As our courageous physicians and nurses have been working to protect our patients, we have taken proactive steps to protect our communities to ensure that our hospitals, emergency rooms and clinics are safe. From on-site testing to enhanced cleaning protocols and new processes that ensure every person who enters our facilities is screened for COVID-19, it’s important to know that if you, a friend or family member needs care, you shouldn’t delay. Our team of outstanding physicians and nurses is ready to care for you. Learn more.
Thank you
I want to thank you for doing your part by following the current guidelines and staying home as much as possible, adhering to social distancing rules and washing your hands frequently. The CDC guidelines are prepared by experts, and they're in place for a reason. If we all do our part, we will get through this together.
We are honored and proud to serve you. We take this responsibility to heart, and we're more committed than ever to keeping you, your family and our community safe and healthy during these extraordinary times.
Sincerely,
Scott Reiner, RN
