ACR Appropriateness Criteria
At Adventist Health Quest Imaging, we are dedicated to helping providers deliver the highest standard of care for their patients. For that reason, we follow the Appropriateness Criteria guidelines from the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The evidence-based Appropriateness Criteria are intended to help referring physicians and other providers make the best possible imaging and treatment decisions. By employing these guidelines, providers enhance quality of care and contribute to the most efficacious use of radiology.
The guidelines are developed by expert panels in diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology and radiation oncology. Each panel includes leaders in radiology and other specialties. There are currently over 160 topics available. The ACR’s Appropriateness Criteria website contains more information and access to the criteria.
