Ricardo Salas, MD, is a medical oncologist practicing with Adventist Health. As a member of the comprehensive cancer center, Dr. Ricardo specializes in working with cancer patients of all types with a special emphasis on breast, lung, lymphoma and leukemia.
Growing up in a migrant farming community, Dr. Salas was inspired to pursue a career in medicine from an early age. His desire to give back to the community and serve others led him to receive his Master of Public Health degree from San Diego State University in San Diego, CA, before completing his medical degree.
As a medical oncologist, Dr. Salas is passionate about his specialty, and provides the very best in comprehensive cancer care and survivorship support, while empowering his patients, their families and the community.

Patient and Dr. Salas had not reviewed their notes and reports, but I feel Dr. Salas was unprepared for each of my visits and I had to fill him in on second opinions from other medical professionals.

I was discharged with no instructions. It was my first time having a blood transfusion and wasn't aware what to expect next, when I asked the nurse he said "what do you mean?" I felt a little confused and just said "Never mind"
