Breast Cancer Clinical Trials
When choosing the treatment plan that is most appropriate for you, the Breast Cancer Program care team will guide you in considering all your options, including breast cancer clinical trials.
A clinical trial is an approved research study that could potentially improve standard treatments. When a research study provides outcomes that are better than current standards, the new treatment becomes a new standard. All current standards of treatment for breast cancer were once clinical trials.
Adventist Health Glendale (AHGL) offers breast cancer clinical trials through the Office of Integrated Research. Currently, the following trial is accepting participants:
- MONALEESA-2 - Study of Efficacy and Safety of LEE011 in Postmenopausal Women With Advanced Breast Cancer
To learn more about this trial, click the link above, or call the Office of Integrated Research at (818) 409-8009.
Enrollment in a clinical trial is strictly voluntary. Your eligibility for a trial will depend on many factors, including the type of trial, your age, tumor type, cancer stage, etc. Your breast cancer care team will work with you to help determine if a clinical trial could be beneficial to you during your treatment.
