Physical & Occupational Therapy in Glendale
The resources you need to recover
Physical and occupational therapy at Adventist Health Glendale is focused on helping you regain your strength, skills and independence following an injury, surgery or illness.
Our experienced and compassionate physical and occupational therapists work closely with physicians to develop personalized treatments, assisting each patient in reaching their activity and fitness goals.
What to expect
Depending on the severity of your injury or illness, therapy sessions may be offered on either an inpatient or outpatient basis. Exercises may include stretching, a workout on advanced rehabilitation equipment, a visit to the therapeutic pool and/or a wide variety of other activities.
Following discharge from the medical center, most patients receive a home visit and subsequent follow-up by a therapist and social worker, who evaluate the home environment and social support network and make suggestions regarding changes to make your home safer and more convenient as your recovery continues.
If you cannot tolerate the physical demands of traditional physical therapy, aquatic physical therapy provides a great alternative. In the comfort of our 60-by-40 heated pool, you are led through an individualized exercise program by specially trained clinicians.
