Hand Therapy

Hand therapy, a specialty practice area of occupational therapy, primarily treats orthopedic-based upper-extremity conditions to optimize the functional use of the hand and arm. At Adventist Health Glendale, hand therapy is performed on an outpatient basis at the Therapy & Wellness Center in Eagle Rock, CA.

Occupational therapists work together to provide both hand therapy and work programs that help patients who suffer from hand disorders and work-related injuries, such as:

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Fractures and dislocations
  • Flexor and extensor tendon injuries
  • Inflammatory and degenerative arthritis
