Almost everyone experiences an occasional sleepless night, but if you find it impossible to sleep night after night, consider seeking medical help.

If troubled sleeping is common, you may have a sleep condition called sleep apnea, something that at least 12 million Americans suffer from! And over 40 million Americans suffer from sleep disorders in general.
Sleep apnea symptoms include:
- Excessive daytime sleepiness and fatigue
- Snoring loudly with periods of no breathing
- Falling asleep while driving or performing other day activities
- Waking up with a dry throat
- Waking with morning headaches
- Showing irritability and mood changes
- Restless sleeping
Sleep apnea is a serious condition
A lot of people think their sleep problem is normal or something to “deal with”, but people with sleep conditions are at risk for developing other conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes or heart problems. Those who suffer with poor sleep often feel lethargic and want to fall asleep during the day, impacting their daily pursuits and creating hazards such as falling asleep while driving. Since sleep apnea, a disorder in which there are repeated pauses in breathing during sleep, can prevent the body from getting enough oxygen, this excessive daytime fatigue and moodiness and can lead to stroke or heart failure if left untreated.
