On June 15 at 5:30 a.m., I had a seizure. My wife called the paramedics and they took me to Rideout Hospital in Marysville, where I was admitted. As I gradually became aware of my surroundings, I also became aware of the care and professional attention I was receiving. Although I couldn’t assist much, my extensive diagnosis started immediately. After a huge number of tests, it was concluded that my right carotid artery was 80 percent restricted and had caused my seizure. It was discussed and concluded that I would remain in the hospital and have the operation to clear the artery. I am very happy we made this decision.
I am doing great.
The main purpose of this letter is to tell you that my stay at Rideout couldn’t have been better. The facilities are exceptional and extensive. The staff is wonderful, caring and professional. I couldn’t want for more experienced and professional doctors, surgeons and assistants. The nursing staff always took care of my every need and made me feel comfortable and secure in such an uncomfortable situation. I was impressed by the skill and education on all levels of service. I really can’t imagine my stay being any better at any other facility. I wish I could thank them all in person.
