I’ve been a nurse for over 25 years and would never have imagined myself in this position, of being sick. But here I am, and I’m very glad that I chose Adventist Health Lodi Memorial Acute Physical Rehab Center to provide my care. Brain injuries can cause all kinds of havoc on your body, and the team under the direction of Dr. Clair are wonderful. They are top notch, from the registered nurses, CNAs, dieticians and housekeepers. But the most help I’ve had since being here has been from the therapists. Being a nurse, and liking to be in control of everything, it was hard for me to let go and allow the therapists to help me. The minute I let go of control is when I started to feel better. From the minute you get up until breakfast, it’s not easy, it is hard. You must be willing to conform to the program, and those rest breaks are hard earned. The therapists are so professional. I know this, but especially in the gym or in the dining room. I sing their praises. I want others to know how great they are and that they will help you get better. I can’t thank them enough!
