Harkomal Kaur, MD - Resident Physician
Central Valley is home for Kaur so staying close to family and giving back to the Central Valley was her driving force to join this residency program. She graduated from the Ross University School of Medicine and completed her bachelor’s in biology at UCLA. Her passion for primary care flourished as she witnessed communities struggling due to a shortage of primary care in the underserved regions of Punjab. Now her dream is to provide medical services to those in need.
Tahmores Matin, MD - Resident Physician
Raised in Orange County. He went to undergrad at University of California Riverside. He attended medical school at University of Autonoma Guadalajara, with completion of his medical school at New York Medical College in the 5th Pathway Program. He grew up spending most weekends in hospitals with his RN mom. When his father had his first heart attack, he saw and valued the care that he received. He witnessed the impact a doctor can have and chose to dedicate his life to medicine. Allowing me to work in an underprivileged area in need of physicians that allows a Family Medicine Resident to Practice full scope medicine in a unopposed program, dedicated to patient health and spiritual health.
Linha Mazin Mohammed, MD - Resident Physician
was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq. She attended medical school at University of Sharjah in United Arab Emirates. Her mentor in medicine was her grandmother. After school, she used to accompany her to her private clinic in an underserved area in Iraq. She became inspired by witnessing her passion for community healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, meditation, and exploring new restaurants.
Youstina Morkos, MD - Resident Physician
was born and raised in Egypt. She earned a medical degree from Sohag University,
Faculty of Medicine and completed a one-year internship at Sohag University
Hospital. She is looking forward to the exposure to different cultures
in the central valley. In her free time, she likes spending time with
her family, cooking, traveling, and reading.
Umer Rashid, MD - Resident Physician
was born and raised in Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan. He attended medical
school at Sargodha Medical College. After graduation, he moved to the
central valley and did clinical research with a primary focus on NASH.
He enjoys spending time with family, playing table tennis, and exploring
the beautiful coastline of California.
Khaing Khaing Win, MD - Resident Physician
was born and raised in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma). She went to the University
of Medicine (2), Yangon. After graduation, she worked as a lecturer in
the Pathology Department at her medical school and practiced medicine
in her home country for 10 years. Khaing immigrated to the United States
in 2017 and is now happy to be part of the Adventist Health Hanford Family
Medicine Residency Program! She enjoys spending time with her family,
cooking and traveling.
Natasha Ahmed, MD - Resident Physician
Completed her medical degree from Fatima Jinnah Medical University in Pakistan.
Her desire to become a doctor and be learn more about the art of science
came from the unfortunate experience of her healthy father passing away
from a heart attack when she was only 10 years. I was excited about the
opportunity to experience full-spectrum training within a supportive environment
that will enable me to serve diverse, underserved and vulnerable populations
in the Central Valley and beyond.
Kavya Chavali, MD - Resident Physician
John Pinches, MD - Resident Physician
Completed his medical degree from the University of Perpetual Help in the Philippines. He was inspired to practice medicine after watching both his grandmother and his father, also physicians care for their patients. He grew up in Dubai and speaks Japanese and Spanish. I chose Hanford because it represents what I believe in - living God’s love by caring for others.
Aseem Singh, MD - Resident Physician
Completed his medical degree from Sri Guru Ram Dam Institute in India.
Following in the footsteps of his Father, who has been a physician for
the past 30 years, he hopes to continue to providing compassionate care
to those in need. He grew up in India and speaks Punjabi and Hindi. Adventist
Health-Hanford Family Medicine program gave me the opportunity to fulfill
my passion for Rural Medicine while providing holistic care to all my patients.
Anthony Trinh, MD - Resident Physician
Completed his medical degree from AUC School of Medicine in the Caribbean.
It was his passion to help people live healthier and better lives that
inspired him to become a family practice physician. Dr. Trinh grew up
in San Jose, CA and speaks Vietnamese. She chose Adventist Health Hanford
FMR because of the emphasis on providing holistic medical care especially
to populations that lack access to healthcare, the supportive staff and
faculty, and it’s located in California.
Tiffany Yu, MD - Resident Physician
Tiffany Yu, MD completed her medical degree from University of East Ramon
Magsaysay Memorial in the Philippines. It was the limited access to healthcare
in her hometown that inspired her to become a physician so that she can
provide care to the underserved areas. She was born in the Philippines
and grew up in Chino Hills, CA. Dr. Yu speaks Tagalog. The program provides
extensive opportunities for the residents to become a vital part of the
local community. They promote a supportive environment that is conducive
to learning and ensure that we provide quality healthcare to all families.
Additionally, Hanford is a charming little town located in close proximity
to beaches and mountains, which makes it an enjoyable place to practice in.
Ranjitha Kancherla, MD - Resident Physician
Originally from Andhra Pradesh, India, Kancherla earned her medical degree from G.S.I. Medical College. She knew she wanted to practice medicine when she witnessed the lack of primary care in her remote town and saw how her community struggled for basic healthcare needs.
Sana Khan, MD - Resident Physician
Originally from Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan, Khan earned her medical degree from Islamic International Medical College. Working with impoverished communities profoundly influenced Khan to realize that medicine is not just a profession but a calling to serve others.
Mohamed Manswer, MD - Resident Physician
Manswer grew up in Downey, CA and earned his medical degree from St. George’s University. Since childhood Manswer wanted to contribute to the greater good of society and he knew there is no better way to do serve than by being a physician.
Zinah Qader, MD - Resident Physician
Qader grew up in Erbil/ Kurdistan Region/ Iraq and earned her medical degree from Hawler Medical University. Qader believes Family Medicine is the medium that allows one to serve people and help guide them toward better health and quality of life.
Navya Sakhamuri, MD - Resident Physician
Originally from Khammam, Telangana, India, Sakhamuri earned her medical
degree from Mamata Medical College. Growing up with her grandparents in
rural India significantly impacted her journey to be a physician. Sakhamuri
believes everyone should receive basic healthcare needs. She is looking
forward to providing compassionate and loving care to the underserved
communities.
Mamatha Vodapally, MD - Resident Physician
Born in Hyderabad, India, Vodapally earned her medical degree from M.N.R.
Medical College, India. Her foundation for becoming a physician was rooted
in her desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives and serve
others in need.
