Our History & Future
Our History and Future as a Provider of Health Care Services
Adventist Health Simi Valley first opened its doors in 1965 to provide quality health care services to our patients and surrounding community. Since that time, the population of Simi Valley has grown from a small community to a bustling city.
Over that stretch of time, Adventist Health Simi Valley has embarked upon many upgrades involving the physical structure of our hospital as well as the services provided within. We are proud of our distinguished services, which include the Nancy Reagan Breast Center, the area's first and most comprehensive diagnostic breast center, the Child Development Center for pediatric rehabilitation, as well as our inpatient services, which include cardiac, emergency and intensive care to name just a few.
Most of all, we are proud to be of service to you, our patients and community members, who have continued to support Adventist Health Simi Valley and our mission to live God's love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope. We truly believe that we are blessed with a big-hearted community comprised of many diverse faiths and cultures, and we appreciate your continued loyalty and trust in our ability to provide quality service and compassionate care.
This is a particularly exciting time for Simi Valley, Moorpark, and our surrounding communities in both Ventura and Los Angeles counties, as well as for Adventist Health Simi Valley. In 2008, we embarked upon a campaign to build a state-of-the-art Patient Care Tower on the existing main campus, which set the stage for more advanced cardiac, pediatric and surgical services. The construction of the Patient Care Tower also ensures that Adventist Health Simi Valley meets strict earthquake standards mandated by the State of California.
The end result of our building campaign is an attractive, modern facility our community can be proud to call their own and look upon as a center of health care excellence. With this new facility we have a new vitality and attitude that shows through the loving, compassionate care our employees, volunteers and physicians give.
The future of health care is happening today in Simi Valley, and we need your participation and support to make the vision a reality. Give us a call at (805) 955-6670 to schedule a tour—or just stop by.
