Spiritual Care

Taylor Laurie

There is no better time than now to introduce and welcome our new director of mission and spiritual care. Taylor Laurie, a seasoned clinical chaplain who previously served at our sister hospital, Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley, joined our Adventist Health Simi Valley family last month. No stranger to Adventist Health, Taylor is intimately acquainted with our mission, vision and values. She brings the skills and experience necessary to lead our mission and foster a culture where spiritual care is just as much about healing as physical care.

Get to know Taylor: Before joining Tehachapi Valley, Taylor lived in Washington D.C., where she served as associate pastor for the Potomac Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She is endorsed with the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventist Church as a healthcare chaplain. She holds a bachelor's degree in religious studies from La Sierra University, a master's degree in Clinical Ministry from Loma Linda University and a master's degree in divinity from Andrews Theological Seminary. Taylor and her husband Eustace, a pastor in the Southern California Conference, recently moved to Simi Valley with their newborn son. Please join us in welcoming Taylor and her family to Simi Valley!

A faith-based approach to care

Hospitalization can bring feelings of fear, helplessness and vulnerability. At Adventist Health, we are dedicated to providing the support you and your loved ones need to find your emotional and spiritual center as you journey through the physical healing process.

We are committed to caring for the whole person and emphasize care for the spiritual needs of patients and families, not just physical needs. Our goal is to create a healing environment and live God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope.

Chaplain services are available 24 hours a day, along with a team of trained multidenominational volunteers who provide pastoral care visitation.

We are happy to contact your church or clergyperson or locate someone to speak with you regarding any concerns you may have during your stay in our hospital.
