Adult Psychiatric Services in Vallejo
Mental illness is a health concern that can affect anyone. For more 30 years, Adventist Health Vallejo has been Solano County’s provider for compassionate mental and behavioral health solutions. By helping those in crisis, we are fulfilling our purpose to be there for members of our community.
Services we provide
Our mental health program focuses on individuals dealing with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, suicidal thoughts, and other emotional, psychiatric and behavioral problems. Upon intake, we will assess the patient to learn more about how to offer the best help possible.
Activities for treatment can include:
- Individual and group therapy sessions
- Therapeutic activities like music, dance, and art
- Pastoral care
By giving patients the chance to understand their stressors and triggers, they can better learn to cope with and adapt to life’s difficult situations. At Adventist Health Vallejo, our goal is not to restrict patients but rather to help them exercise healthy boundaries.
After a patient’s period of crisis, we schedule appointments for hospital-based outpatient therapy to help them continue progressing without the need for confinement. You can learn more about our inpatient psychiatric services here.
Partial Hospitalization Programs
For adults in need of crisis intervention or short-term care, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) can help them make the transition back into home life. Following a PHP, many patients choose to participate in intensive outpatient treatment, where more flexible scheduling allows them to work on more specific skills in order to make the changes they need.
Comprehensive care
With a team of psychiatrists, nurses, social workers and other specialists at your side, you have a complete support network to help you regain mental health. Following treatment, it is important to have the help of your family.
For this reason, patients being discharged will be given recommendations on a continued treatment plan as well as how their families can help them succeed. Our case workers will take steps to make sure you receive follow-up contacts.
