Kevan Pickrel, MD

Medical Officer

Adventist Health White Memorial welcomes Kevan Pickrel, MD, to the role of Medical Officer. Pickrel is a New York Medical College graduate. He has spent over a decade in clinical leadership across specialties, hospitals, and communities. Most recently, Pickrel served in the Phoenix area as Vice President Chief Medical Officer at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center and HonorHealth Sonoran Crossing Medical Center, where he led a Level I trauma center and helped open a second hospital in the community. He says the most critical lesson he brings with him is that all medicine is local, and his experiences have taught him to listen first.

Growing up in southern California, he sees this new role as an opportunity to bring his knowledge back home and recognizes that it requires him to be an advocate for patients and staff and to lead in areas of quality, culture, and safety. “Los Angeles is a place of constant change, challenges, and possibility, and I look forward to working through all of it with this community,” he shares. Pickrel hopes to move White Memorial into the space of being a preferred destination of choice for healthcare.
