¡Vive Bien! Senior Wellness Program Parking Discount
As a benefit to the members of the ¡Vive Bien! Senior Wellness Program, a 50% discount is valid at any of our public parking lots on the White Memorial campus when the membership card is shown. Seniors can obtain this free card from the Community Information Center on the first floor of Medical Plaza II. Seniors need to be 60 years or older and present at the time of the request.
Transportation Assistance
At no charge, our friendly and courteous van drivers can pick you up or take you home for hospital appointments, within a five-mile radius of the hospital. Our vans run from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and space is limited.
To schedule transportation assistance, call our Transportation Line at least three days in advance at (323) 260-5850. Last minute requests for assistance may not be accommodated. In some instances, bus assistance may also be available to you. Metro bus line #68 stops directly in front of our hospital. For more information on bus lines, call your local MTA line.
Reasonable Modification
Adventist Health White Memorial (AHWM) may allow the reasonable modification of our van transportation policies to accommodate the special needs of persons with disabilities in order to allow them to fully utilize our van transportation services. Whenever possible a request for a reasonable modification or accommodation shall be filed in advance to the Manager of Patient Van Transportation Services by email at LoeraA@ah.org, by telephone at (323) 268-5000 x1996, or by mail at 1720 East Cesar East Chavez Avenue, Dept. 8430, Los Angeles, CA, 90033.
Requests for reasonable modifications or accommodations will not be approved if the request would: fundamentally alter the nature of the service, program, or activity; create a direct threat to the health or safety of others; result in an undue financial and administrative burden; or the individual would still be able to fully use the services provided by AHWM without the modification. Individuals with disabilities may file complaints regarding reasonable modification or accommodation with AHWM’s Complaint Hotline by telephone at (323) 268-5000 x4367.
