Adventist Health Medical Office – Fowler welcomes endocrinologist Tombra Govina, MD
FOWLER – Adventist Health Medical Office – Fowler is pleased to welcome Tombra Govina, MD, to its medical staff. As an endocrinologist, he provides the newest, most advanced treatments for patients with hormonal and metabolic conditions of varying severity. These include diabetes, thyroid, and parathyroid disorders, osteoporosis, pituitary, and adrenal disorders.
“My personal experiences as a child dealing with health issues inspired me to practice medicine,” he said. “I treat every patient’s encounter as an opportunity to show care and compassion, create a dialogue, and formulate mutually-agreed plans for my patients’ care.”
Govina earned his bachelor’s degree in biology at City College in New York, graduating summa cum laude, and his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., and fellowship in endocrinology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
Board-certified in internal medicine, he also is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), Endocrine Society, and Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA).
When not caring for patients, Govina is a sports enthusiast, enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. He is dedicated to supporting and solving global health issues.
