Late Tehachapi Mayor, Ed Grimes, honored and celebrated at Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley hospital

Many knew Mayor Ed Grimes as Mr. Tehachapi. He passed away in May 2018, but his memory lives on.

That’s why the community wanted to permanently recognize his dedication to the city of Tehachapi.

On Sunday, October 4, Buddy and Nikki Cummings sponsored a plaque in honor of our late Mayor Ed Grimes. Ed was many things ... a mayor, voice of the warriors, father, grandfather and patriot.

The plaque was placed in front of the Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley hospital flag as a tribute to his service. It was dedicated with a prayer offered by Buddy Cummings surrounded by the Cummings and Grimes families, including his beloved wife Ruthie and dozens of friends.
