Lisa Chapa, MSN, FNP, Joins Adventist Health Medical Office in Parlier

August 1, 2022 (Parlier, Calif.) – Adventist Health Medical Office - Parlier is pleased to welcome Lisa Chapa, MSN, FNP, who joined our team in July. Lisa comes to us with 16 years of acute care experience, which includes 14 years of caring for post-operative pediatric surgical patients.

In her most recent role as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Clinica Sierra Vista’s School-Based Health & Wellness Center, Lisa provided comprehensive, age appropriate, and episodic care as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team. Prior to that, she served as a Registered Nurse Coordinator for Valley Children’s Healthcare and Hospital where she helped pediatric patients and their families understand conditions and procedures, including general pediatric surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, cardiac, urology, gastrointestinal, and plastic surgery.

Bilingual in English and Spanish, Lisa is experienced and skilled in treating patients of all ages, from infants to seniors, providing care for both common and complex medical conditions, including asthma, skin issues, gastrointestinal conditions, upper and lower respiratory infections, and childhood obesity.

“It is my goal to provide effective and compassionate care to patients and their families, especially to those who are least likely to receive regular preventative care due to barriers they may face,” says Lisa. “I enjoy educating patients so they can effectively manage their conditions to improve not only their health, but their quality of life as well.”

Lisa received her Master of Science in Nursing from Fresno Pacific University in 2019 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2009. She is a member of both the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and California Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Originally from Burley, Idaho, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, which includes her husband of 28 years, three children and grandson. She also enjoys watching a good movie in the comfort of home.
