Adventist Health Tillamook Appoints Interim Patient Care Executive

News

Adventist Health Tillamook has appointed Patricia Stone, DNP, MSN, RN, to interim patient care executive, filling a role that was vacated by retired patient care executive Kathy Saxon who left the position on January 16. “The leadership of our inpatient care at Adventist Health Tillamook is in great hands with the temporary appointment of Dr. Patricia Stone,” said Eric Swanson, President of Adventist Health Tillamook.”

Dr. Stone comes from Adventist Health White Memorial, where she served as a patient care executive for over seven years, preceded by other leadership and nursing roles spanning a 39-year-long career in healthcare. “Adventist Health White Memorial is a much larger 353-bed teaching hospital, recently recognized by a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, a Lantern Award for nursing leadership, practice, education, advocacy and research, and a Healthgrades award for outstanding patient experience,” shared Swanson. He continues, “I’m energized for the opportunity that her leadership and experience in other award-winning hospitals will provide as we look to continuously improve our metrics for leadership and patient experience.”

Dr. Stone’s interim position will be in place while a full-time patient care executive is recruited, which is expected to take as long as eight weeks. Regardless of that short period, she shares, “I am excited to get to know the fantastic care team here in Tillamook and provide nursing leadership support during this transition.”
