Adventist Health Tillamook Presents a 50th Anniversary Celebration and Worship Event
November 1, 2023 (Tillamook, Ore.) – Capping a year-long 50th anniversary celebration of health, wholeness and hope, Adventist Health Tillamook announces a special celebration and worship event to honor the people who have made this significant community milestone possible. The event will be hosted by the Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 2610 First Street in Tillamook on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for all community members.
Intended to honor Adventist Health Tillamook associates and the patients they serve, a special guest address will be presented by Alex Bryan, Chief Mission Officer for Adventist Health and nationally recognized public speaker who recently had speaking engagements at Walla Walla University, Pacific Union College and the Society of Adventist Communicators. He is known for his dynamic and authentic style, which helps bring the Adventist Health mission to life. The event’s music will include local “One Friday Band” talent and special musical guests Joyce and her husband G.J. Newmyer. Joyce Newmyer has been a long-term presence at Adventist Health Tillamook and its communities, serving as board chair of the Adventist Health Tillamook Community Board for nine years as well as Chief People Officer of Adventist Health and President of the Adventist Health Oregon State Network.
Adventist Health Tillamook President Eric Swanson shares, “I’m proud of the ways we’ve been able to celebrate this 50th anniversary milestone with our community, with our first community concert in July followed by our largest ever presence at the Tillamook County Fair to engage the community with our leaders.” Swanson continues, “I’m looking forward to ending this amazing year celebrating our mission of living God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope in this special way.”
