Cancer Support Groups in Portland

Living with cancer can be intensely challenging. That's why we offer a cancer support group to patients and family members coping with this disease.

Research indicates that participation in a support group can:

  • Reduce anxiety and depression.
  • Decrease pain.
  • Enhance life span.
  • Promote quality of life.

Spending time with others who have “been there, done that" can be a welcome source of support. Our support group is facilitated by a professional who has worked with patients for many years in the Portland area.

This support group is for anyone with cancer or family and friends of those who have cancer. It meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at Adventist Health Portland’s radiation oncology department and is completely free.
