Elena Bishop, OTD, OTR/L

Elena Bishop, a native Portlander, earned her doctorate in occupational therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Scripps College in Claremont, California where she completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Bishop creates a positive and caring setting that puts patients at ease. Her goal is to provide support and education, and to collaborate in the therapeutic process. She employs a wide variety of strategies tailored to her patients' needs or injuries including customized orthoses and splints.

Outside of work, Bishop likes to travel, cook, and try new restaurants. She also enjoys reading fiction, paddle boarding, and watching British crime TV shows with her cat, Eloise.

Linda Bright, OTR/L, C/NDT, LSVT-BIG

"I have a passion for helping people regain their ability to do what they love to do and return to being active members of their family and community. I also have a passion for helping people regain motor control and function, especially regarding being able to use their arms and hands to in a purposeful way.

I am a native Oregonian and Portlander. I’ve lived all over the country, though. I like gardening and native plants. I have two teenage sons and a husband who is a meteorologist (not on t.v.). I have two dogs I love to walk!"

Miranda Gale, MOTR/L

Occupational Therapy – Outpatient Hand Therapy

Miranda Gale loves seeing her patients get the use of their hands back after surgery, no longer needing casts or splints. As an occupational therapist, Miranda specializes in hand therapy.

Miranda earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy and bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. In hand therapy, she helps patients with issues in the joints and muscles along the shoulder to the hand. This includes conditions such as arthritis, finger/hand injuries and repetitive motion disorders, including carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow. A native of North Dakota, Miranda has moved frequently, following her husband’s career in the U.S. Navy. She has practiced hand therapy in five states now, including Oregon. Her family, which includes two young sons and two dogs, enjoy spending time together with fun outdoor activities.

Bryan Jacobs, OTR/L, CMES

"I am a native Oregonian who grew up in Corvallis. I met my wife Kristine while in the Philippines during our Peace Corps service. We moved to Memphis, TN in 2014 to allow for me to obtain my occupational therapy degree. While in Memphis, we married in 2016 and welcomed our daughter into the world in 2018. In 2019, we returned to Portland to be close to family and friends. I enjoy spending time outdoors including cycling and whitewater rafting, all things Blazers, playing board games and reading to my daughter with made up voices. The three of us and our dog Ender live in SE Portland."

Rachel Reyes, M.O.T.

Occupational Therapy

Recognizing that each person is unique is essential to how Rachel Reyes approaches occupational therapy. She is passionate about helping every patient return to meaningful activities.

Reyes earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy at California State University, Dominguez Hills. In her practice, she leads with openness, kindness and humility. She wants patients to know that together they are a team in seeking solutions.

Reyes’ idea of a perfect day is picnicking with friends and family or browsing a local bookstore followed by coffee and a sweet treat.

Joanna Stephan, OTR/L

Occupational Therapy

Joanna Stephan earned her master's degree in occupational therapy at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, after graduating with a degree in graphic design at Walla Wally University. She loves being a hand therapist because it combines her love of creative problem solving with helping people through evidence-based interventions.

Joanna specializes in therapy targeting the upper extremity from the shoulder down to the hand. She works with people who have a variety of conditions such as arthritis, fractures, and repetitive use injuries. She enjoys taking time to understand each patient's unique experiences so she can tailor her care and education.

Outside of work, Stephan enjoys working on art projects, spending time exploring the outdoors, and cooking plant-based meals with friends. She is a doting auntie to two nieces.
