Spiritual Care
Adventist Health Tillamook believes that a vital part of caring for the whole person is spiritual care. For over 100 years, chaplains and caregivers of Adventist Health have ministered to the spiritual needs of medical center patients. Read more about our healing heritage.
Our belief in whole person care is core to our mission of sharing God's love by providing physical, mental and spiritual healing. Physical health and well being are significantly enhanced when a spiritual component is recognized. This observation is increasingly substantiated by medical evidence.
To support this important function, we employ a full-time chaplain to assist with your spiritual needs. In addition to regular visits to patients, the chaplain is available to provide communion for those who desire it, and for counseling, prayer and crisis needs of patients and their families. Please don't hesitate to ask your nurse if you or your family would like to visit with the chaplain at any time.
Chaplain office hours
Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
A chaplain is available during non-business hours — just ask your nurse or a staff member for assistance.
If you would like a visit from a member of the clergy of your church, please
let the admitting clerk know at the time you are admitted and this can
be arranged. Or, you may let the nursing staff know of your desire at
any time during your hospitalization.
The hospital chapel is located on the main floor just inside the front hospital entrance.
